Pair of rare antique hand hammered Arts and Crafts hinges, This pair of hand hammered iron hinges were used on a building at Yale University. They are quite beautiful and measure 33 inches long. This pair of hinges dates from the C1900. Truly works of art hand done by a master. We attribute this pair to the work of Samuel Yellin who did many hand wrought pieces for Yale. See Samuel Yellin Metalworker by Jack Andrews 2000 for examples of his work. This pair of decorative wrought iron straps were designed to fit around a hing and were then screwed to the door to give the appearance of it all being one piece.
